Catchup time again - random thoughts

On July 3, I watched a Robin gather worms from the flooded grass to feed this fledgling - and another in the poplar tree at # 23.
This Say's Phoebe came to check out the possibility of homesteading under our awning. Decided the neighborhood was a bit too busy.

July 5th, we explored Curtis Canyon again. Every trip is a new adventure and never fails to provide something new.

Tank #2 sets down in the draw and the water seep is a magnet for birds in addition to holding secrets that inspire my imagination.

This old stump with its exposed roots cause me to imagine forest sprites living there.

This decomposing stump reminds me that everything is a cycle.

Who placed this skull here and how long has it guarded the water source?

After three days, I finally managed to snap a photo of the Green-tailed Towhee as he serenaded his audience of 2.

Sometimes pictures can be misleading - Long-billed Western Bluebird!

It's a wonderful life!
