Found the Vermont State House, I was freezing the the kids were running around on the grounds in shorts and shirt sleeves. After the long brutally cold winters, 50 degrees must feel really good to them.
After finding our light in East Montpelier, we drove down Route 14 to Barre (pronounced Barry) stopping by Hope Cemetery on the way.
Mostly marble and carved by Italian stonemasons, the headstones are fantastic works of art. I only included a few of the best, too many to post them all. The cemetery covers 65 acres.
