Spent a very cold and wet morning at Bomoseen SP near Rultand on the western side of the state going through "enforcement" training for the parks system. Now we are certified to handle issues that might arise at the park, most often excessive noise levels after quiet time, usually fueled by over consumption of adult beverages.
The bottom line is, if we feel unsafe or feel that other campers might be unsafe, we call 911.
The best part of the day was 3 woodpeckers... Red-bellied, Downy, and Sapsucker, Common Merganser, Belted Kingfisher, and Catbird. I guess they wondered what fools would be out and about on such a dismal day. I also heard Gnat-catchers and several warblers. Didn't take my binoculars with me and felt "naked" all day.
Time to curl up with my Kindle and a nice steamy cup of hot chocolate for the rest of the day.
